We are pleased to announce that the IASP Executive Committee has approved the South Asian Regional Pain Society (SARPS) as a federation of IASP. SARPS has been granted temporary federation-in-formation status. IASP members will ratify, by vote, the federation status at the next general meeting. Please help us to warmly welcome SARPS to be among the existing federations of IASP.
Dr Mohammed Abdur Razzak (60) passed away on Jan 5, 2020 at 11:20 pm in Jaypee Hospital, Noida, India, due to complications following a liver transplant surgery.
He was a Director of Quasem Foundation. Before that, he was Professor of Anaesthesiology and Pain Management Specialist in BIRDEM Hospital for many years. He leaves behind wife Shahnaz and daughter Maisha, and a host of friends, relatives and well-wishers to mourn his passing.
His body will be placed at Shoptok Gondola, 11 Abbas Gardens, Mohakhali from 12 pm to 7 pm on 9 Jan for those wishing to pay last respects.
His Namaz-e-Janaza will be held on Friday Jan 10th, baad Jumma, in Gulshan Azad Mosque. He will be buried in the Siddique Bazar family graveyard.

9th SARPS Congress on Pain 2020 will be held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka, Bangladesh from November 6-8, 2020.

Bangladesh Society for Study of Pain (BSSP) is going organise a month long awareness programme declared by IASP. Poster, discussion meeting, TV programme, rally and leaflet distribution are included in the events. All the BSSP members are requested to attend the programme.
